We love our ebikes, and without them we couldn't bike. But I do see the concern, we're frequently passed by bigger ebikes going much faster, and yes occasionally by conventional bikes. Ebikes going too fast for conditions is much bigger problem than conventional bikes. Too often it is the few that can't behave that causes rules that effect us all.

Nothing special, just this kit from Amazon, the hub is 1000 watts but the controller that comes with it is limited to 760 so it can be sold legally. To get more out of it you can unlock the controller (which I'm not sure how to do) or buy a different controller. The battery is a 48v, 13ah 30 amp max current one from Unit Pack Power.
